The 3rd edition of Impressões 2018:2019 – From Basel to Brazil is a creative collaboration between Brasilea and Swiss company Laufen, one of the world’s leading ceramic manufacturers, whose products are renowned for their symbiosis of design, quality and functionality, including their innovative SaphirKeramik, a super-strong ceramic material that allows itself to be fashioned along minimal, architectural lines.
Impressoes 2018:2019 includes works by artists Christina Oiticica, Maria-Carmen Perlingeiro, Collective SHN, Alex Flemming and graffiti artist Zezão. A polyhedron, developed by Maria-Carmen Perlingeiro and made of SaphirKeramik, served as a multifaceted canvas for all five artists.
The works will be on display at:
- Brasilea Foundation, Basel/Switzerland, from 10 November 2018 to 29 August 2019
- Design Miami, Miami/USA, from 3 to 9 December 2019
- Expo Revestir, Sao Paulo/Brazil, from 13-16 March 2019
- Design Basel, Basel/Switzerland, from 11-16 June 2019
