The “Fauna & Flora” collection is the result of joint work between the plastic artists Christina Oiticica and Blake Jamieson.

The collection of paintings was buried in a performance on August 18, 2022, in Monthey, Switzerland.

They remained underground for 9 months, the same length as a human pregnancy, later being unearthed on May 12, 2023.

The artists started the work and nature continued it.

In this post we can see Christina Oiticica restoring the paintings, an arduous work consisting of:

  1. Cleaning the Paintings
  2. Gluing the resulting pieces on boards to recompose the puzzle.
  3. Enrichment thereafter with gold leaf
  4. Subsequent assembly of the frames.

A great job done leaving the works ready for their exhibition that will take place on July 15, 2023, the Biester Palace in Sintra (Portugal), organized by Luka Art Gallery
